San Diego Wild Animal Park

A fun day at the Wild Animal Park. Yes, Gwen got to ride a deer. Best petting zoo ever...

Had To

I just love these pics too much to not place them on the internets.

Hawaii

We went to Hawaii before Ryan started his first "lawyering" job - they told him not to expect many vacations after he started so we figured it was a good time to take off somewhere super-fun and awesome. We went with some some friends (Scott, Shellie and baby Avery) from Pepperdine and it was a great vacation - except that somehow we managed to get our baby severely sunburned while wearing sunscreen, under a beach umbrella and had to adjust our trip accordingly. It was kind of funny (in a way) to take her into the Kahuku Hospital ER where they gave her a pink wrist bracelet and some ointment. I'd driven by that building probably 10,000 times when I lived there and hadn't ever made my way inside - it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be - though it did end up costing us an arm and a leg in hospital bills - worth it for the peace of mind it gave us though.

Much mahalos to Dan and Jonna for lending us their "2nd bedroom" for a whole week. We loved hanging out with you guys - it had definately been a loooong time. (By the way, hope you don't mind, we've been spreading rumors that Gwen inspired your upcoming bundle of joy.)

An "American Girl"

When Gwen was born, at her lowest she was 4 1/2 lbs (born 4lbs 14oz). The Schroders lent us some of their doll clothes to make up for the fact that we were totally unprepared for such a little baby. To be honest, Gwen didn't really love them, but we thought it was hilarious and made her wear them anyway - are we bad parents? I for sure know we are at least bad photographers as illustrated in this "best photo we could find"...

We Are Family

Our first family photo at the hospital...we were VERY nervous (the look on Ryan's face doesn't say the half of it).

Waaay Too Much

I quickly became overwhelmed by the idea that I'd already fallen sooooo far behind to consider myself a "blogger" and am not sure where to begin. I feel like I need to make 100,000 posts to make up for it. I will try to catch up a little, just to make myself feel a little better and more caught up - so that it will be easier to post later and blah, blah, blah, blah...
